Avoid High Heat: Ceramic is excellent at retaining heat. Always cook on low to medium heat. Using high heat can “bake” fats onto the surface, creating a sticky residue that ruins the non-stick property.
No Thermal Shock: Never plunge a hot pan into cold water. Let it cool down naturally before washing to prevent the ceramic coating from cracking or crazing.
2. Utensil Choice
Stay Soft: Only use silicone, wood, or nylon utensils.
Avoid Metal: Even if the box says “metal utensil safe,” metal will eventually create micro-scratches that cause food to stick.
3. Cleaning
Hand Wash Only: Even if it says dishwasher safe, the harsh detergents and high pressure in dishwashers will dull the ceramic coating quickly.
Soft Sponge: Use a soft sponge and mild liquid soap. Avoid steel wool or abrasive scouring pads.
4. Storage
Don’t Stack Directly: If you need to stack pans, place a paper towel or a felt protector between them to prevent the bottom of one pan from scratching the ceramic interior of the other.
